happy halloween!

Happy Halloween! It's pretty obvious what are costumes are but if you can't tell Chris is the strong man, i'm the bearded lady, and Dolly is the dog faced boy. We had a lot of fun last weekend going to friends Halloween parties. It's so much fun to see everyones costumes! Looking forward to handing out candy to the trick or treaters tonight, eating pizza, and watching scary movies with friends. I have already started my Halloween movie marathon this afternoon while i'm working on a bunch of Christmas stuff - kinda weird. Have a safe Halloween everyone!

I took a tiny break this morning which means I didn't enjoy my coffee and peanut butter toast in front of my desktop. I instead did a lil online shopping and came upon these lovelies. How sweet are all these items from ModCloth. I love how they add a bit of nostalgia to any kitchen.

casual friday

It's been crazy busy in the studio this week - i'm talking like 13 hr work days! So today I took the day off and it has been wonderful so far! My day started out by sleeping in until 9 followed up by a nice 2 hr nap on the couch immediately upon waking up :) Chris decided it was time for me to get up so he made me a cup of my favorite coffee and then I helped him pack for a camping trip he is taking with his friends this weekend. We then ventured out to Brasa for a late lunch, and tonight I am going to grab some dinner and drinks with some friends. So all in all, a fantastic Friday! 

Yesterday we snapped these family pics above on the good ole trusty photo booth - it was a rare day since I actually put on clothes other then pj's, did my hair, and put a lil make up on ;) 

Oh and that's our dog Dolly, we adopted her last November through Secondhand Hounds. She is seriously the best dog ever. 

ModCloth: currently coveting for fall

I love Fridays - they have recently become my most relaxing day of the week since Chris and I usually don't have a ton of work to do and we can spend the day relaxing, drinking coffee - currently obsessed with the pumpkin spice k-cups, browsing the internet, and watching lots and lots of bad tv on netfix. ModCloth is always my go to site when I want to do some online shopping and here are a few items that I would love to add to my closet to wear on the perfect fall day :)

quick lil sketch

Today has been a busy day of playing catch up! Chris and I finally got some things done around the house, like getting our kitchen and bathroom sinks fixed - ha it's kinda lame, but you have no idea how excited we were to have actual water pressure in the kitchen! I made some from scratch chicken and wild rice soup which is my man's fav, did a lot of printing orders for my etsy shop, and shipping them out. I also spent the day working on some freelance projects which is always a lot of fun! I have some plans for a few new items for my shop - I really want to make a calendar :D This is a quick little warm up sketch that I whipped up tonight for that project. Let me know what you think!
